Change is in the air...

In October of 1991, together with our two young children, ages 3 and 5, our family began an incredible journey called world missions. With God's help, we gathered the necessary monthly support budget, crisscrossing the Northwest Ministry Network telling about this newly opened area of the Soviet Union. Then, in June of 1993, we boarded an Aeroflot jet bound for Moscow, Russia. For the Assemblies of God, we were one of the first families to arrive to that fresh harvest field. It as a time of huge uncertainties and excitement.

Those early years presented many challenges and some safety concerns. As a result of your faithful prayer, our family experienced life-saving miracles and we were privileged to carry an influential voice, speaking to the churches of Latvia and Russia. God blessed those early years, and even though we are just everyday people, God used us to found a Bible college, plant 13 churches, and serve our colleagues in missions as team leader for many years.

God showered grace and mercy on our family and we were blessed to watch our children grow in life and faith one the mission field. Both, along with their families, now love and serve the Lord and are active in local churches.

The last few years Jill and I have been in Latvia focusing our efforts in mentoring, training and church planting. Eight months ago we plant our 13th church, which we call Factory-99 Church, in the capital city of Riga, Latvia. This church plant has been fabulous as we minister together with a super leadership team, constantly reaching non-church people, inviting them to discover faith in Christ, while also intentionally working to nourish and empower the ministry team.

As many of your know, often the Spirit of God nudges us towards change when we are situated directly in the midst of something that is really good. For us, that is exactly what is happening now. Surprisingly, we have been invited to serve as lead pastor in an entirely new mission field: Walla Walla, Washington! Sensing the leading of the Spirit of God and having a strong peace in our hearts, we have accepted this exciting challenge and are now, once again, in transition.

October 31 will mar the conclusion of our relations ship with you, our long-time companions in prayer and finances, as well as with AGWM as appointed world missionaries, as we commence a new chapter in ministry. We are full of anticipation regarding this new journey and feel that God has uniquely prepared us for such a time as this.

To you who have stood with us in missions, thank you is hardly adequate when we try to express how honored we are to have had you as partners over the past 25 years.
We could not have taught the hundred's of pastors, nor planted the many churches, or started an amazing Bible college without you! You have donated to lands you will not visit, reached people you have never met, fed people for whom you did not cook and trained pastors you will never hear preach. Best of all, you have reached literally thousands of people with the beautiful Good News of life and hope in Jesus Christ! You have stood with us and allowed us to serve on your behalf.

We are especially grateful to our families, who have allowed us to raise our kids so far away from home and have always supported us. We so appreciate our Northwest Ministry Network and all the churches and individuals who, through prayer and finances, have faithfully stood with us. Finally, we give thanks to the Assemblies of God World Missions department who provided the platform for us to serve for so many years.

 With grateful hearts,
Terence and Jill Hall

Pray

  • Pray for the transition to a permanent pastor for Factory-99 Church.
  • Pray for the Factory-99 Church Leadership Team to have an abundance of wisdom and continued anticipation for a great future.
  • Pray for favor on us personally and also for wisdom as we deal with practical things such as moving our personal items.
  • Pray for healthy growth of the new Christ-followers at Factory-99 Church.
  • Pray for the 10-person missions team from Lake City Assembly of God in Medical Lake, WA, who will be ministering in Latvija October 7-15. We will host this super group as they will be the towns of Dobele, Riga and Jelgava, ministering to all ages! They hope to stir up faith in Christ and sow seeds of hope.
